Motorways in Denmark are free for cars. The two big costs are toll bridges: the Great Belt between Zealand and Funen, and the Oresund bridge to Sweden. The main cities also run diesel environmental zones. Prices are in kroner (DKK).

City & emission zones
- Miljozoner (Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg)
Older diesel cars (below Euro 5 or without a particle filter) are barred. Foreign diesels must register at miljoezoner.dk before entering or risk a 1,500 DKK fine. Petrol cars are unaffected.
Toll bridges & tunnels

Fuel
Local tips
- The two bridges are your only real road costs: budget about 235 DKK for the Great Belt and 470 DKK for the Oresund each way.
- A BroBizz saves on the Great Belt, and an OresundGO contract cuts the Oresund toll a lot if you cross more than once.
- An older diesel without a filter cannot enter Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense or Aalborg; register at miljoezoner.dk first.
- Great Belt return and weekend deals can save a little if you cross back soon.
