Cameras read your plate at gantries on roads, bridges, tunnels and around city rings in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Stavanger. You are billed afterwards. Most car ferries bill the same way. Prices are in kroner and vary by place, time of day and emissions.

The traps to avoid
