Slovenia uses a fully electronic, plate-linked e-vignette with no sticker since 2022. Most cars are class 2A (front-axle height up to 1.3 m); taller vehicles are the pricier 2B. The vignette covers the whole motorway network; the Karawanken tunnel to Austria is billed on its own.

Step by step
- Open evinjeta.dars.si or the DARS app, not a reseller site.
- Pick your class: 2A for a normal car, 2B if the front is taller than 1.3 m (many campervans and big SUVs).
- Type your plate and country of registration.
- Choose 7-day, 1-month or annual; the short ones can be future-dated.
- Pay by card. There is no sticker; cameras check the plate.
- Keep the confirmation in case of a query.
The traps to avoid
- Class 2A versus 2B is the usual mistake. If the front of the vehicle is over 1.3 m tall you need 2B, which costs more. Use the class checker on evinjeta.dars.si if unsure.
- Sites above evinjeta.dars.si in search results are often resellers that add a fee. Buy from DARS or a petrol station.
- It is plate-linked, so a hire car needs its own.
- Driving a toll road without one is a 300 euro fine, automatically.
